A friend broke his ankle pretty bad. Then about 3 to 4 weeks later I fractured my ankle. He was wearing this brace and said he loved it. I ordered one and it just wasn't comfortable for me. The medal inserts hurt my ankle. I suppose it just depends on the break. I'm keeping it just incase someone might need one.Quality is not same as previous one bought 3 months prior. Daughter only wore it for two, 2 hour long practices and the metal shanks on the new one were already coming out the seams out the top during plays. The one she’s had for three months is just now showing signs of wear and tear. This is something she needs as she is playing competitive volleyball and cannot go without. Disappointed that the new brace has failed so fast.I bought this item for those few days when the arthritis was bothering my ankle. It works great for that and relieves the ache. However, I have only worn it at the most a dozen times and already the metal shank is coming out through the bottom of the right side. Very disappointing.Great product if you need firm support but you can bend your ankle just enough to allow you to play sports without risking further injury. You can wear it for as long as you need to, slowly loosening the straps until you no longer need the brace.The best brace for stretched ligaments, that will allow you to perform without causing further damage until the ankle damage has healed.Son has sz 13 feet, wears it all the time A+++ good support, well made!This brace elimated the need for an expensive (>$1.000.00) uncomfortable and painful orthotic brace.Perfect for my foot. Needs extra support after my fall and is great.Awesome supportWorth every penny
