Saw these on a TikTok and had to get some! They work perfectly, exactly as advertised. I generally don't wear my docs very often because I'm either lazy or in a rush and don't want to deal with tying up my laces. Problem solved with these zippers.I also have a problem where the tongue on one of my boots leans to the side (they've been that way since I got them, I've tried EVERYTHING to try and fix it). I can normally only wear them with tall black socks or there will be a strip of ankle skin on the side of the tongue. This fixes that problem – that strip is now covered! I can now wear ankle socks with my docs.I wear a womens' size 5.5 – I was worried that these might not work for such a small size. Thankfully they still worked great, I just needed to skip a hole near the top. I would say these should work for larger kids sizes as well as smaller womens' sizes. I didn't have to trim my laces at all.If I zip them up all the way to the ankle it's a little tight (I have thick ankles). However, the zipper doesn't seem to slide down if I leave them partially unzipped. The zipper itself is high quality, it's a standard YYK zipper (probably the same brand a lot of your pants and jackets use).Best thing since sliced bread. I've been tying boot laces for 30 years, now I just slip my foot in and zip em up. Good to go. I use them every day. Almost a pleasure putting on my boots now.The teeth are rough and not well-aligned. I ultimately was unable to get one side unzipped, and then couldn't get it rezipped either. I lubricated each zipper set with different materials, hoping to find some combination that would make the set useable as I wasn't able to return/order a replacement. No dice.Additionally, they arrived damaged with a few eyelets smashed. This did not give me much confidence that they would have held up on work boots if they had been useable to start with. Give this one a pass and keep looking, unless you have access to good return/refund capabilities.The "Soletec Leather Lace-in Boot Zipper 8 Eyelet Zipper", or Soletec Boot Zipper, did what is is supposed to to, but I don't think I would buy this product again, for these reasons:* It doesn't feel as secure as I would like.* The eyelets are two close together.* It does not have enough flexibility, especially at the foot/ankle point very well.* The chrome zippers are too big and too distracting (This one is my fault, I did not pay attention when ordered.)* A velcro to hold extra lace when inserted would have been great. You will probably have to cut your laces if they are not the exact right link.Again, they do the job, but I'd probably go for a higher echelon product next time.Bought for use with calf-high boots. Too short, but rigged it to work.They are tough and useful for adding a zipper to lower boots/shoes.Make my winter boots on and off easier at 74 years old.Had to play around with them to find the way I wanted them laced.But once I did they were perfect!
